  Volunteers Needed

Ready to be more involved with the school? The Shoal Creek PTA is always looking for new or returning volunteers. PTA is responsible for fun community building events such as Multicultural Night, Family Picnic, Family Dance, and Science Night and we couldn’t host these events without our parent volunteers. If you are interested these events or curious about other ways to get involved, please reach out to Nancy Swartz to learn more at iottervolunteer@gmail.com or 760-889-8178.

 Our Educational Foundation is also looking for some new volunteers. We are in need of a new Treasurer as well as some volunteers willing to help out with fundraising events. If you are interested or have questions, please reach out to Lori Lam at shoalcreekfoundation@gmail.com .

  Chromebooks-Grades 3-5

As part of our district’s 1:1 Chromebook initiative all 3rd-5th graders have Chromebooks they bring back and forth to school.  These students will keep their Chromebooks at home over the summer and return with them in August (5th graders will take them to middle school).  If your child will not be attending school in PUSD next year, please have your child turn in their Chromebook on June 8th or 9th. Incoming 3rd graders will receive new Chromebooks at the beginning of the school year.  Students in primary grades will continue to have access to Chromebooks to use at school next year.

If you need help with your child’s PUSD Chromebook after school or on the
weekend, you can email PUSDITHelp@powayusd.com. Students can
also bring their Chromebook to Mrs. Poole in our library and she will assist
them.

  Makerspace Supply Drive

Our Makerspace Can Use Recyclables :

The Shoal Creek Makerspace is a creative space for students to design, invent, tinker, and create.  We are running low on recyclables to make our projects.  You can help by collecting the following items and dropping them off in the tub marked “Makerspace Supplies” located outside the front office. 

• Paper towel/toilet paper rolls (All paper removed)

• Plastic fruit boxes

• Small cardboard boxes (Kleenex, oatmeal, pringles, etc.)

• Small water or soda bottles/bottle caps

• Egg cartons
