Learning in Action

Optimal pH levels, multiage learning!

Strengths based teaching. Here, students used technology and pH ingredients to hypothesize which variables provided optimal environment for plant growth by testing and controlling different variables.  Green Our Planet curriculum is solid and forward thinking!

Multi-age Music Class

Students bring their own instruments or borrow ours, and set goals to become a musician! Highlights are: - Participate in stage set up and tear down learning equipment vocabulary - End class having written a song together and performing it. Also individually recording their own music.

Rainwater Harvesting

3rd-5th grade students learned more about water conservation and how to create a water collection system to harvest the abundance of Southern CA rainfall this December and January. They used the Design Thinking Process to ideate, prototype, create, and test their own systems using recycled materials!
